Edward shuts phone. As he stares at the phone it crumbles under his grip and he
begins to shake violently. He falls over on his side holding his head in his
hands. He slowly crawls through the
small attic space. He stumbles out of a building and finds a car on a remote
street. Driving too fast to the airport he envisions a white casket covered
with white Calla Lilies. He sees everyone in Forks, closest to the casket is
Charlie, Jacob, Billy and the Cullens family. He takes a step forward and
everyone looks at him simultaneously with cold blank faces. He exits the
car and collapses beside it. He rises on one knee heaving holding his chest. We
see a Latino man concentrating on a computer screen ….. Edward is standing
opposite him staring at the second hand ticking on a clock behind the
attendant.
It was only one hour ago
Edward pays
for a ticket then boards a plane all awhile he remains unaware
of the effect he still has on surrounding women. He sees a beautiful mother
holding the hand of a little brown hair girl walking down the aisle of a plane.
It was all so different then
There's nothing yet has really sunk in
Sitting in
the first class section of the plane Edward examines the bottle cap he is
weaving in his fingertips
Looks
like it always did
Edward looks at his hand turning it back and forth flexing his fingers
This flesh and bone
He looks
out at the
stars, the
reflection of the glass becomes the reflection in Bella’s dark dining room
window the inside shot shows empty table, empty chairs
Its just the way that you would tied in
Now there's no-one home
As he is walking in the dark he glances at a woman in the distance with the
same hair as Bella. Before she turns; Edward sees
Bella walking in Port Angelos as she turns the woman no longer resembles Bella.
I grieve for you
Opening shot of Edward walking under the eaves of the clock-tower, He turns
toward the Plaza looking at the water in the fountain which is reflected in his now dark eyes.
The water reflection in his pupil grows as we see a cliff over water and a
woman plunge
You leave me
We see Bella in the forest with hurt eyes looking at him as he kisses her
forhead she turns to dust and dissolves away from him
so hard to move on
We see
Bella’s finger tracing the back of Edwards arm in the meadow then Edward
staring at the back of his arm in the Plaza
Still loving what’s gone
Bella in her room talking to him, in the dark classroom clutching her fists,
looking at Edward
They say life carries on
Bella in
the parking lot as Edward saves her, when he looks at her she crumbles to dust
Carries on and on and on and on
Opening shot on an empty meadow which drifts right to a plant… which blends
into an empty Bella’s room, empty bed with a picture on her nightstand of the
beach…. which is pulled in for a close up of a now empty beach back to the water
fountain….. back
to the phone dropping from his hand and he falls over in a cramped space
The news that truly shocks is the empty empty page
While the final rattle rocks its empty empty cage
And I cant handle this
Edward’s eye is caught by a flower close-up to the petals then fade out to
see it is the exact hue as Bella’s lower lip on that first kiss
I grieve for you
We see a shot of them laying on her bed with her hair in his hand, she grabs
his hand kisses it and tucks it close to her, close-up on his hand which now
pulls out empty from his chest in the Plaza
You leave me
Bella rolling over waking in the morning smiling then crumbles to dust
Let it out and move on
Bella
erasing her homework on a notebook in her room when she blows on the paper her
images crumbles to dust
Missing what’s gone
Open shot to an alive Bella running from the car Alice is driving in Volturra. She is searching for Edward she scans the sea of faces
and suddenly spots him -close up on Edward’s face with bright reflection in his
dark iris
They say life carries on
They say life carries on and on and on
Edward is looking at the sun reflecting off a cross on a woman’s
chest, the reflection takes over the screen and we see the streets of Forks,
the school parking lot, the cafeteria, his house, Charlie sitting in his chair
with a beer, Esme and Carlisle by the piano, Alice and Jasper cuddled on a
porch seat, Rosalie and Emmet sitting on the garage floor
Life carries on
In the people I meet
Bella hits the fountain and runs across it. She is screaming something and
everything seems much to slow as she can take in impossible inventory of those between her and him including
the boy with yellow hair in his Mother’s arms
In everyone thats out on the street
Bella
desperately wants Edward’s eye contact but he is looking above the crowd
In all the dogs and cats
Bella sees
the family near him,
In the flies and rats
the little girl
looking at him,
the father looking at Bella running toward them
In the rot and the rust
The father
instinctively pulls his daughter and wife close to him
In the ashes and the dust
Edward half closes his eyes and turns his palms out, the reflection happens
again and we hear Bella laughing, he sees her in the cafeteria looking at him,
dancing with him in the prom, cooking in her kitchen, reading, rolling over
asleep on her bed, kissing him, falling over a cliff…fades
Life carries on and on and on and on
Bella is
very close, screaming his name in vain, we can’t hear her either. The family
moves away from Edward.
Life carries on and on and on
Edward sees a vision of Bella in his car then she turns to dust and dissolves
away from him
Its just the car that we ride in
Bella is by the piano and dissolves away
A home we reside in
Full view of Bella smiling overtaken by a reflection
The face that we hide in
Bella and Edward facing each other on her bed
The way we are tied in
Edward flashes to Twilight with Bella at the Prom carry her outside, stroking
her cheek kissing her neck, entwining his hand with hers
And life carries on and on and on and on
Life carries on and on and on
Bella is so close but realizes that Edward is completely unaware
The Waggoner is in Edward’s vision and he scans down the pictures of the wall
to a portrait of Bella and him that turns to dust and
slowly dissolves
Did I dream this belief?
Or did I believe this dream?
Bella in white dress stepping up to his hand
Now I can find relief
I grieve
Bella is almost at Edward and she throws herself into him
Edward half steps forward and light begins to flood him as he catches an angel
that looks like Bella, his nostrils flare as he inhales deeply; he is looking
down at her with a soft smile.
