Ok, heres the thing about this short story, it's almost done. It needs some refining and that includes details. This story happened at a time that is hard to go back to and it skims near the uncomfortable for me but I will  get to it ... 

On a recent trip to New Mexico I decided to indulge my son Noah and take him up the front of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque. He had been gazing at them all week and was sure he could manage the ascent in about an hour! I knew it would be best to let the mountain speak for itself. Well, whatever Noah does Meghan is sure to follow. So here is a short story of our experience on the La Luz trail:
